The traditional Indian medicine, which is popularly called as Ayurveda (pronounced "ah-wee-pay) is an extensive system of complementary therapies, which is mainly practiced and used in India. It is based on the ancient Hindu philosophy that every human being has the ability to heal themselves using natural methods without involving any external or conventional medicine.

Ayurveda is highly effective in treating all kinds of diseases, illnesses and physical disorders. This kind of medicine can be used to treat both the internal and the external problems of a person.

Medicines from India like Vacha, Ashwagandha, Brahmi, Manjishtha, Maha-Manjishthadi-Qadha, Saariva, Punarnavadi-Guggulu, Gokshuradi-Guggulu, Panch-Tikta-Ghrut-Guggulu, Gokshur (Tribulus terrestris), Bala (Sida cordifolia), Suvarna (Purified water), Musta (Cyperus rotundus) are widely used in Ayurvedic treatment for diseases, illnesses and body disorders. Some of the most common medicines are discussed below:

Vacha is a spice used in Ayurveda which is very useful in treating several problems related to the lungs and the blood vessels. Vacha has the ability to destroy germs and bacteria in the body. Aromatic and spicy food are very popular with people who are taking Vacha. People who suffer from chronic lung disease or asthma can take Vacha as an anti-inflammatory medicine.

Ashwagandha is another herb that is widely used in Ayurvedic treatment for curing several disorders like arthritis and rheumatism. Arthritis is known to be a type of inflammation that is caused due to the abnormal growth of cartilage between bones. Ashwagandha is also known to reduce the inflammation in the joints.

Manjishtha is a very effective herb that is used in Ayurvedic treatment for treating many body ailments like insomnia, headache, fever, dyspepsia, cough, indigestion, etc. It helps in reducing the production of mucus in the stomach and the digestive tract.

Saariva is a very effective medicine which is very useful in treating several skin disorders. The oil of saliva is very good in reducing the symptoms of dandruff. The oil of saliva is also good in treating psoriasis. It is used as an effective skin cleanser. Saariva also helps in relieving some of the pain caused by the infection in the joint.

Gokshur is also used in Ayurvedic treatment for treating various problems like cough, respiratory problems, diarrhea, etc. It helps in reducing the symptoms of cough by suppressing the secretion of mucus. and improves the digestion. It also helps in improving the immunity and increasing the resistance towards diseases.

It is very useful in purifying urine and it helps in preventing the growth of various bacteria in the body. These herbs have many advantages and benefits. They can be used by anyone as they do not cause any side effects.

It is believed that Radha, in her wisdom and devotion, transformed herself into a huge snake and swallowed her husband. On reaching heaven Lord Krishna became immortal. His sister Radha's body was preserved as a gift by Lord Krishna and it is believed that she was made immortal by keeping her as a snake.

The Neopal River is considered sacred and has many deities associated with it. One such deity is Mahadevi. She is known as the Mother Goddess of all Indians. This river has been the source of much controversy as many Hindus believe in her incarnation as a snake, while others consider her to be the divine mother.

Another major temple located at the base of Neopal is the temple of Bhai Dooj. This temple is also known as the "Furudhwaj Temple" and is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Bhai Dooj is believed to be the place where Bhai Dooj was first dedicated. The shrine is also popular among Sikhs for its beautiful Khalsa Darbar which depicts Bhai Dooj on its wall.

The holy places of Nepal are very important tourist destinations. It is therefore important to note that if you want to experience great Indian culture and traditions at its best then it is important to visit these places.
